Honoring the Gift from our Family through the Pain
Let’s face it family can be challenging at times. We love them, but as we observe the dysfunctional patterns, become triggered by words, actions or behaviors and reflect on our own upbringing, lives and patterns we can find ourselves struggling to have a healthy relationship with them.
We may feel like we didn’t receive what we needed, which left us feeling hurt, angry, and unloved. We may feel like they don’t understand us, so we push them further away shutting down communication, love and compassion.
In the midst of our anger and blaming them for our own suffering we are starting to recognize that inherent traits are being passed down from generations earlier allowing us to begin to understand that it didn’t originate with our parents. Which is opening up a new pathway for compassion and healing to take place across the family line.
Yet we can still find ourselves clinging to the hurt that we’ve suffered over the years, wondering why we experienced it and how we can heal that pain within ourselves, for our children and our future generations.
As I witness the ancestors step forward during each Generational Healing™ session that is facilitated I'm aware of how willing they are to heal, to share their wisdom, their love and support with you. How as share their story, their pain, their trauma they are choosing to release the densities of the inherited generational trauma that continues to haunt you and your loved ones. It's empowering. It's beautiful. It's healing.
When we take a moment to observe, honor and recognize the gifts from our parents, grandparents and ancestors then our hearts can soften. We come into a new relationship with our own being and with our family.
The biggest gift you have received from your family?.
The gift of life.
Of breath.
Of your heartbeat.
You are here, on this earth because of all those who have walked before you.
Without them, you would not be here in a physical body, experiencing each moment, sensing the world around you.
You are a compilation of all those who came before you.
Through their love you were born.
As you move through your day today I invite you to be conscious of your breath, to place your hand on chest and connect to your heartbeat, take each step recognizing that your foot could very well be touching the same location on the earth that an ancestor stood years earlier.
With honor, with gratitude, with connection….
Thank your parents, your grandparents, your ancestors for the greatest gift of all....the gift of life.
